Drabble of the Week #24: Reluctant Love

This weeks Drabble of the Week award goes to a new drablr and currently just one time submitter, Laura Thiry for her wonderful Reluctant Love drabble. With luck this will be the first of many drabbles we’ll see from Laura.

Reluctant Love by Laura Thiry

Honestly, I didn’t know how to feel. But I had to choose, so I chose him. I said yes.

Mom wasn’t happy. Thought I was too young. That I should finish school. My friends said I was crazy, throwing my life away.

But love doesn’t submit to logic.

Still, I was nervous.

Dreaming of our future, I feared the possibilities. Hoped that I had made the right decision. Was it too late to change my mind?

Finally the big day came.

As the doctor laid his tiny body on my chest, every doubt melted away. All I felt was love.
